Publish Servers on the Internet wth Cisco 837 Print E-mail

cisco 837 NAT Server
Internet Web Server via Cisco 837

Summary

The Cisco 837 being a cisco has some excellent routing and networking features.  One of these is the ability to utilise more than one public or 'real' IP address. This means if you have some spare public IP addresses from your ISP (and business ISP accounts often do) you can utilise them to create publicly accessible services on the internet for example a webserver or a remote access server.  The following article looks at how to publish an internal webserver on the internet.

Target Audience

Anyone who has needs to take a TCP/IP based service (such as Webserver, Remote Desktop Server, Mail Server) running on an internal host and publish it on the internet
